"News Translation: Principles and Methods" (Second Edition) is a monograph on news translation. The book is divided into three parts: The first part introduces the characteristics and principles of news translation. The second part discusses the translation problems of news texts by category, involving many fields such as politics and government, international relations, finance and trade, disasters and rescue, and sports. Through typical examples, it analyzes the issues that should be paid special attention to in various news translations. The third part mainly introduces the methods of compiling news, and takes broadcast news and online news as examples to analyze the principles and skills of compiling news.
