LSCM Logistics Summit and Innovation Technology Carnival

In October, the "Publishing 3.0 - Hong Kong Smart eBook hub" Scheme ("Publishing 3.0") participated in various local and overseas activities! In addition to promoting the "Hong Kong Smart eBook hub" at the Hong Kong Pavilion at the Frankfurt Book Fair from October 18 to 22, the project also participated in the LSCM Logistics Summit on October 11 in Hong Kong and the "InnoCarnival" organized by the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau from October 28 to November 5.

The LSCM Logistics Summit featured a technology exhibition showcasing the latest technologies developed by the Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre (LSCM), attracting over 1,000 participants. LSCM, The project partner of "Publishing 3.0," sent representatives to introduce the "Celebrity × AI Narrated Books" project, demonstrating the AI voice technology developed by LSCM, which rivals the effect of original human recordings. "Publishing 3.0" will actively research the application of such technology to enhance the audiobooks in the "Hong Kong Smart eBook hub," assisting authors and publishers in increasing readers' interest in their audiobook works and promoting public interest in reading.

At the online seminar of the InnoCarnival held on October 28, Dr. Sharon Wong, Executive director of the Hong Kong Reprographic Rights Licensing Society and Chairman of the "Publishing 3.0" Project Committee, introduced the concept behind "Publishing 3.0" and the various important milestones of the "eBook Publishing Conversion Platform". Dr Wong also shared the latest developments of "Publishing 3.0" at this year's Frankfurt Book Fair. Dr. Frank Tang, Director of Research and Technology Development at the Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre, also shared the application of AI in the "eBook Publishing Conversion Platform." They discussed the digitalization trend in the publishing industry, providing meaningful insights for the future development of "Publishing 3.0."
