A brand is not just a name, a graphic, a logo, a product, or a service. It is a set of "intangible values", with overall impressions and expected experiences in the minds of consumers. Therefore, a strong brand is a living, vivid, rich, complex, and powerful product system with strong charm and appeal. The value of a brand is rooted in the relationship between the brand and the consumer. Without consumers, there is no brand. An excellent brand can bring infinite benefits to consumers: to help customers deal with product or service information, to reduce shopping risks, to make purchasing decisions easier, to establish long-term relationships with products or services, to define quality and guarantee reputation, to create different values and differential impressions... A successful brand is the sum of quality management, quality, character, behavior, evaluation, tasting, and tasting. Then deduct exaggerated claims and bragging; minus falsehood, loss of color, loss of profit, loss of trust, error, distortion, and disappointment. Multiply it by emotion, sensation, feeling, perception, and gratitude. As the competition becomes increasingly fierce, products must differentiate themselves from others. The purpose of introducing an identification system and brand concepts is only one way to do so, which is to establish a link between a brand and their needs among consumers. Like a person, a company craves a fresh and visually appealing image that reflects its internal values. Image needs updates to reflect the organization's awareness and concepts. This is an era of rapid transformation in institutional image, and it is time for government agencies, industries, businesses, small and medium-sized enterprises, manufacturers, century-old brands, and new and old brands to be reborn.

The establishment of the modern "regional culture" discourse was the process of the national concept shifting from "all under heaven" to "nation". In this process, modern scholars constantly adjusted their tone in the duet of national consciousness and local care, added their own voices, and established a dialectical unity between the nation and the locality, making regional cultural identity an expression of modern national consciousness. This book is easy to read, with rich and interesting references, including both elite and folk literature, classics and vulgarities, such as local chronicles, genealogies, novels, Cantonese opera, and local textbooks. Readers can easily follow the author's discourse and clarify the historical formation of "Guangdong culture" from the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China under the framework of "regional culture" narrative.

In this book, the author went through memorabilia passed down for generations, to shed light on the life of Hong Kong people during the three years and eight months of Japanese occupation. In the late autumn of 1938, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other places were occupied by Japan one by one, and the Japanese army repeatedly provoked China on the border. The shadow of war had enveloped Hong Kong, and the war was about to break out. On December 6, 1941, Hong Kong people were enjoying the weekend. Happy Valley was crowded with citizens watching horse racing, and markets was filled with people singing and dancing. However, two days later, the Japanese army launched a massive attack on Hong Kong. After 18 days of fierce fighting, Hong Kong was lost, and the citizens began a sorrowful life under the iron hooves of the Japanese army. Fast forward to 70 years later, Hong Kong has long become an international metropolis and an Asian financial center, but this difficult period is still engraved in the hearts of the older generation of citizens, and it is difficult to erase. This book uses more than 100 rare memorabilia of the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong, including rental bills, electricity bills, water bills, land tax bills, property tax bills, insurance vault receipts, dividend bills, horse tickets, horse plates, tram tickets, bus tickets, ship tickets, postcards, universal stamps, and newspaper advertisements, supplemented by explanations in contexts, hoping to let readers have a deep understanding of the life of Hong Kong people under Japanese occupation. Let’s remember this difficult period that the older generation cannot forget.
