"Publishing 3.0 – Hong Kong Smart E-Book Hub" team demonstrated the results of the smart e-book hub at the Bologna Children Book Fair and explored new models for e-book copyright trading

To help Hong Kong's e-books and audiobooks explore the international market, and to promote the copyright trade of Hong Kong's e-books, the "Publishing 3.0 - Hong Kong Smart eBook Hub" ("Publishing 3.0") project team went to Bologna, Italy to participate in this year's Bologna Children's Book Fair from April 8 to 11, and exhibited the "Hong Kong Smart eBook Hub" at the "Hong Kong Pavilion - Soaring Creativity" set up within the book fair. During the book fair, the "Hong Kong Pavilion - Soaring Creativity" held a record-breaking 13 cultural activities, creating a new high.

Through the "AI-empowered e-book conversion platform" driven by artificial intelligence, the "Publishing 3.0" project helps Hong Kong publishers self-translate and produce high-quality Chinese and English electronic publications, and selects works with potential for the international market to build the "Hong Kong Smart eBook Hub". To promote Hong Kong's development as a regional copyright centre for e-books and audiobooks, the project conducts promotions both locally and abroad, bringing Hong Kong's creative achievements to the industry worldwide, in order to assist the Hong Kong publishing industry in developing e-book copyright trade.

Dr. Sharon Wong, Executive Chairwoman (Administration) of “Publishing 3.0” Steering Committee and Executive Director of Hong Kong Reprographic Rights Licensing Society, introduced "Publishing 3.0" during the Bologna Children's Book Fair this year, showcasing the results of Hong Kong's e-book publishing conversion technology. Currently, 63 Hong Kong publishing organizations are participating in "Publishing 3.0", and have successfully converted over 5,000 Chinese and English e-books and audiobooks through the project's " AI-empowered e-book conversion platform". During the book fair, Dr. Sharon Wong also shared the development of the "Publishing 3.0" project over the past year, and demonstrated the key features of the platform, such as trial reading and listening functions, in the smart e-book hub.
