In Zhenzheng Secondary School, Xu Jingzhi, a Chinese teacher, looks up to her late colleague, Zheng Yulan, and strives to foster a love for poetry among her students. She believes in nurturing their interests and unlocking their potential. However, Xu Jingzhi becomes entangled in the political struggles within the faculty, facing repeated betrayal and framing. Though resentful and disillusioned with those in power, she realizes the harsh reality that change is difficult. Caught between submission and resistance, she begins to rely on alcohol to numb her pain. Everything changes when she encounters Zuo Yaofan, a silver-haired student passionate about social movements and justice. Inspired by his ideals, Xu Jingzhi finds the courage to reject the invisible constraints imposed by society and stands firm in her beliefs. However, their blossoming relationship faces numerous obstacles and opposition from various parties. Their path is fraught with challenges and setbacks. Amidst the twists and turns, will this bittersweet love between teacher and student triumph over the trials of reality and bear fruit?
