Discovering Hong Kong - Culture, Community, Opportunity

The non-profit organization "Culture Power" organized a roundtable meeting in 2014 titled "Culture, Community, and Opportunity" to promote community culture and foster the sharing of experiences in seizing opportunities. Participants included cultural figures, artists, and thirteen district council members who shared cultural stories from various communities in Wan Chai, Central and Western District, Kwun Tong, Sham Shui Po, and Sai Kung. They also proposed a review of current cultural policies through the lenses of "cultural rights" and "cultural vision." This book features articles highlighting community cultural development, showcasing the perspectives of cultural workers, commentators, and community members.
