Urban Sketches of the past Wan Chai

Wan Chai has always been a place where old and new coexist, and Chinese and Western cultures are mixed. It is full of the life breath of different social classes, attracting many citizens and tourists to linger and enjoy. The two authors of this book have designed inspection routes with different themes, including "history", "life" and "coastline", leading readers to shuttle through the streets and alleys of Wan Chai, and take a closer look at the landmark buildings, historical sites and cultural landscapes along the way. They showcase more than 500 original sketches and on-site photos, combined with detailed historical documentary materials and field inspection results, to tell readers about the past and present of Wan Chai, as if opening a treasure trove full of Wan Chai stories, which is wonderful and colorful.
