Wild Hong Kong Almanac
This book recreates the significant classics from Hong Kong's museum history. G. A. C. Herklots, a British resident of Hong Kong, documented the seasonal changes, diverse wildlife, and natural landscape of early years in his book, "Sui Shi Ji". Originally published in 1951, it served as a valuable resource for local scholars. Translator Mr. Peng Yuwen spent over a decade translating and enhancing the original work with his own research, photos, and insights. The republication of Herklots' work, along with the translator's efforts, creates a harmonious blend of past and present, prompting reflection on the relationship between humanity and nature. This important local natural writing should be treasured.
