The temple was established in the Ming Dynasty to worship the sea goddess of Mazu, and is now called Ma Kok Temple, or A-ma Temple. Both the mountain and temple are now part of a famous tourist attractions in Macau. The purpose of this book is to introduce the "A-ma textual base" composed of twenty-four stone-carved poems, as well as some stone inscriptions, couplets, and inscriptions on A-ma Temple in Macau. This text is both for the public and by the public, and can be considered a collective memory and spiritual heritage of ancient and modern Macau. In the book, the author uses the scenery as a backbone and the culture and history as the soul; more beautiful than the landscapes and superior to humanistic creations, it provides a solid and clear direction for all to appreciate the virtue and grace of Mazu.
