Unbound sky – stories of marathon runners
Walter Cheung (also known as "Uncle Water") is a senior executive at Hang Seng Bank. Over a decade ago, at the age of forty, he completed his first marathon race. Since then, he has completed sixty marathon races around the world and continues to challenge himself to run at different marathons, determined to "live to old age and run to old age." This book records his observations and experiences in many marathons, amidst the ancient elegance of historical heavyweights such as Kyoto; in bustling cities such as London and New York; and in a lonely desert for hundreds of miles. Every long run is a struggle with himself, overcoming the idea of giving up many times and then resuming running. The book also records interesting anecdotes of marathon runners around the world. Everyone's reasons and backgrounds for running marathons are different, but they all seek their own direction on the run. Uncle Water hopes to encourage readers to do their best to run on the track and on the road of life, towards the unbound sky.
