The mountains in Hong Kong, Kowloon, and the New Territories are characterized by their layered and hilly nature, with numerous peaks scattered throughout. However, official maps often lack accurate information regarding mountain heights and names, leading to errors and omissions. To address this issue, the author, with sixty years of expertise in Hong Kong's history and geography, compiled the first comprehensive mountain record. Through field investigations, consultations with locals, and referencing military maps, the author determined mountain orientations, verified names, and supplemented height information. The book includes landscape maps with marked mountain names, providing readers with a reliable resource to locate and appreciate the mountains of Hong Kong.
