A parishioner once asked me, "Since you fly to Ireland every year to visit the priest, do you consider him as your father?" While there is a saying that goes, "Once a teacher, always a father," it's important to acknowledge that a teacher and a father are not the same. While I hold great respect for Tony, considering him as my father would be inaccurate, as our relationship transcends a familial bond. Tony is my teacher, later becoming my patient. He is an elder figure and a dear friend. His influence on my growth has been profound, and he holds a significant place in my life.

Over the years, the communication with readers has been ongoing, from paper writing to the internet—some interactions fleeting, some elusive, and others irresistible, always maintaining the interest of conversation. The accumulation is substantial, and some pieces are still interesting to reread, triggering thoughtful reflection and serving as life counselors. Subsequently, two collections of letters, "Ah Nong's Short Letters" and "Paper Short, Love Long", were published. It has now been decided to merge the two books, omitting those who have passed away, and reducing the original 189 articles to 93. This book is believed to continue fostering connections and keeping the cause alive.
