The ""1960s Hong Kong Literature and Culture"" research project was inspired by Yesi, who provided insights into the joys and sorrows of 1950s Hong Kong during his lifetime. Now, we are continuing the exploration of the 1960s, building on the foundation laid by our predecessors. Yesi, at the age of fourteen in 1963, began creating works that are valuable materials for the study of Hong Kong literature in the 1960s. This book comprises nearly two hundred literary reviews by Yesi from the early 1960s, primarily from publications such as ""China Student Weekly,"" ""Hong Kong Times,"" ""Literary Thoughts,"" ""Sing Tao Daily,"" and ""University Literature."" These reviews cover a wide range of topics, including literature, drama, film, music, design, translation, as well as a small number of essays and new poems, many of which have never been collected before. The publication of these works not only aids researchers but also provides readers who admire Yesi with the opportunity to appreciate the early works of renowned writers and gain a more comprehensive understanding of Yesi's literary achievements.

Leung Ping-kwan (also known as Ye Si, 1949–2013) may not have written a ""History of Hong Kong Literature"", but his literary criticism reflects a strong sense of literary history. He proposed a diachronic narrative framework for his focused topics, delving into the value, essence, and characteristics of Hong Kong literature. His influence extends beyond his role as a representative and important writer, as he has deeply impacted the history of Hong Kong literature. Ye Si is a significant figure in both literary creation and criticism, with most current research focusing on his creative works. This book examines his contribution to the history of Hong Kong literature using five keywords: ""post-colonial"", ""modernism"", ""urban culture"", ""life-oriented new poetry"", and ""lyricism."" Through a comprehensive analysis of his column reviews from the 1960s and 70s, as well as his academic criticism and research from the 1980s and 90s, combined with his literary creations, the book presents Ye Si's narrative of the ""Hong Kong Story."" It aims to help readers understand Ye Si's critical perspective on Hong Kong literature and encourages a re-exploration of the key aspects of the history of Hong Kong literature.

This book offers insightful case studies and self-healing solutions to guide readers in the process of ""identifying"" themselves rather than simply ""finding"" or ""being"" themselves. It teaches the method of ""seeing through"" to recognize one's true face, understand family dynamics, address personal growth, manage health and emotional history, and avoid common pitfalls of human nature. By improving mental cultivation, solving personal problems, and reshaping a beautiful, confident, and peaceful self, readers can achieve a deeper understanding of themselves. While some individuals seek to see through themselves, others may feel apprehensive about doing so. However, the book emphasizes the importance of facing oneself and developing the ability to see through one's appearance. By integrating and balancing fragmented aspects of oneself, individuals can cultivate a calm, upright, and bright heart, ultimately meeting themselves beautifully.
