In the past, I had two memorable chatting experiences that left a lasting impact on me. One took place during a summer camp, where I engaged in late-night conversations with a group of college students under the starry sky. We shared stories and discussed various topics, gaining new perspectives and hearing inspiring tales. On another occasion, I had a thought-provoking conversation with an educated and experienced old man at a hostel. These meaningful exchanges motivated me to write down the content while the memories were fresh, resulting in a series of books on Chinese culture. However, I have yet to introduce the prose, which Yu Guangzhong referred to as the "identity card of all writers." This book comprises eleven of my personal literary talks on prose in its second part. I believe this book will expand readers' knowledge, stimulate their thinking, and provide reading pleasure.

China, a nation with a deep-rooted love for singing and songs. The ancient sage and renowned educator Confucius compiled the first literary classic in China, known as the ""Book of Songs,"" which consists of a collection of song lyrics. These songs encompass a variety of genres, including folk songs, temple songs, sacrificial songs, and morning meeting songs, characterized by their wind, elegance, and ode. Even in times of hardship, such as when Confucius and his students were stranded without food, they continued to sing, play music, and teach. Confucius included ""Music"" as one of the ""Six Arts"" in his teachings. From the ""Book of Songs"" to the music bureau, poetry, lyrics, and tunes, Chinese cultural traditions have often found expression through singing. The fusion of rules and lyrics in these songs serves as a spiritual nourishment for both the literati and the general public. Some songs are intertwined with historical events, while others reflect the intricacies of everyday life.
