Sydney Musings

Xunqing's Hong Kong sentiment is different from the homesickness of ancient wanderers who left their hometowns, due to the difficulties of crossing mountains and delivering letters by wild geese; nor is it the depression of writers who came to the south in the 1950s and 1960s, who were unable to return home due to political circumstances. His lingering thoughts about Hong Kong in his writings stem from his long-term upbringing here, leaving a deep imprint of the region and its culture, but it is not a masochistic attachment.
