My Life as an Engineer
The author is a senior civil engineer born in Hong Kong. He was awarded a government scholarship to study at the University of Hong Kong in his early years. After graduation, he served the government for forty years and retired during his tenure as the Director of Development. He has participated in many large-scale infrastructure projects, including the planning and design of Chek Lap Kok International Airport and Tsing Ma Bridge, and the development of large new towns such as Sha Tin, land reclamation, infrastructure and supporting social facilities.
