The Royal Family in the Era of Earth-shattering
During the transition from Ming to Qing, profound changes swept across the entire country, leaving the Han people, who were under Ming rule, to witness the simultaneous upheaval of their nation and culture. The considerations of the Zhu Ming royal family during this tumultuous period were more intricate than those faced by ordinary citizens and even Ming Dynasty court officials. This book, adapted from the author's 2017 doctoral thesis, "A Study on the Origin of the Zhu Ming Royal Family in the Late Ming and Early Qing Dynasties," meticulously examines the historical materials related to the Zhu Ming royal family. Divided into six chapters, the book delves into the population estimation, the impact on the royal family after entering the Qing, the issue of the royal family's martyrdom, the resistance to and surrender to the Qing, the life of the hidden royal family, and the choice of the new regime after entering the Qing.
