My Father Luo Fu - A Story of a Journalist, "Spy" and Writer

In May 1982, Luo Fu was suddenly summoned back to Beijing for investigation. A year later, he was sentenced to ten years in prison for the crime of "American spy", but was immediately paroled and allowed to move freely in Beijing, where he stayed for ten years. It was not until early 1993 that he was able to return to Hong Kong. This case caused a sensation both at home and abroad, and was known as the first "Sino-US spy case" after the reform and opening up, causing a great response in the traditional leftist camp, the news industry, and the literary world in Hong Kong. Nearly thirty years have passed, and the inside story of this case is still full of rumors and mysteries. The authorities are silent about it, and although the parties involved occasionally touch on it in their writings, they have not been able to fully explain the twists and turns. For the first time, this book presents Luo Fu's account, detailing the entire process of the case, and includes textual materials related to the case.
