In today's Hong Kong, while traces of humanity still exist, they are not as readily accessible as we may believe, often requiring luck to encounter. Amid widespread societal resentment and intense pressure, exacerbated by unattainable property ownership and soaring prices, individuals struggle to prioritize others while grappling with their own challenges. Even small businesses appear to be merely part of a media-driven sales strategy. Humanity, akin to common sense, seems to have faded in practice, lingering in name only. Wang Yixing reflects on life annually, observing society, discussing people and events, and contemplating the possibility of reclaiming the essence of humanity in Hong Kong.
