Illustrated Ancient Chinese Philosophy (Han to Qing Dynasty)
This book is a sequel to "Illustrated Ancient Chinese Philosophy·Pre-Qin Dynasty" and focuses on the evolution of thoughts from the Han to the Qing Dynasty. It covers Han philosophy, Wei-Jin metaphysics, Buddhist doctrines, Taoist thoughts, Song and Ming Neo-Confucianism, and Qing Dynasty classics. The narrative starts with Han Dynasty classics and concludes with Qing Dynasty classics, symbolizing a "cycle with a beginning and an end". It also highlights the dominance of Confucianism, Taoism, and Mohism in the pre-Qin Dynasty and the subsequent shift to Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism after the Sui and Tang Dynasties, which remained unchanged until the late Qing Dynasty.
