My teachers and my friends

This book is a collection of more than 40 essays written by the author over the past 30 years, in memory of his teachers and friends. The 20-plus "teachers and friends" recounted in the book are mostly famous teachers and scholars, including Qian Zhongshu, Xia Zhiqing, Hu Qiaomu, Zhou Yang, Hu Sheng, Shi Guangnan, Nie Gannu, Ma Sicong, Gao Xingjian, Jin Yong, Li Zehou, and so on. Through the author's word-by-word narration and the correspondences they exchanged, the deep friendships between teachers and friends are vividly portrayed on paper.
